Shintokan Hatsugeiko 2025 - January 110-11, 2025 at Shintokan Dojo led by Phil Relnick sensei - Washington state.  First major training of the new year at Shintokan, with lots of folks from: WA, OR, AZ, CA, NM, CO. There is no better way to knock the Christmas turkey out of you!

Shintokan Kagami Biraki 2025 - January 11, 2025 at Shintokan Dojo led by Phil Relnick sensei - Washington state.  The annual official opening of the dojo for the new year. Lots of students, family, friends all gathered to welcome the new year, give a hono embu, and share some delicious mizutaki and sake. 

Albuquerque Jo seminar - early March 2025 - A weekend of training in Albuquerque led by S. Duncan sensei.  Good turnout of people from across the country. Thanks to the Albuquerque Shin-Budo Kai for hosting in their nice dojo.  It was snake-free!

Shintokan Jo seminar - late March 2025 - Another weekend of training Phil Relnick sensei's Shintokan dojo in Seattle.  Lots of interesting kata exploration by participants from across the country.  And even a birthday celebration!

Denver Shobukan Dojo Jo seminar & 25th Anniversary celebration - April 2025 - The annual Denver Jo seminar included a celebration of he 25th anniversary of this dojo opening. Friends and fellow trainees from across the country (and Canada) converged on Denver for this weekend of training together. There was even a cake!

Brazil Jo seminar - May 2025 - W Schutt sensei made the trek again to foster growth in Shinto Muso-ryu with Brazilian students there. Another successful seminar there despite toilets spinning backwards and it being winter! We heard the food was awesome.

Shintokan Dojo 30th Anniversary celebration - July 2025 - In 1995 Phil Relnick sensei and Nobuko Relnick sensei opened their Shintokan dojo in Woodinville, WA. after 40+ years of life in Japan. Scores of Jojutsu student have been fortunate to pass through this dojo. From the USA and around the world. It is difficult to measure the positive impact Phil Relnick sensei has had on the world of Shinto Muso-ryu but the Shintokan Dojo has been the epicenter of that experience. The gathering of students here over the 3 day weekend was instructive as usual, and a chance to spend time with fellow Jodo trainees from across the country. Good times, good memories made.

Shinseikan Dojo Biraki in Woodinville, WA - July 2025 - If celebrating the Shintokan dojo's 30th anniversary was not enough, Will Schutt sensei and Amanda sensei opened their Shinseikan dojo during the same weekend. So many friends were there to participate and put their energy into this dojo biraki. Congrats to Will and Amanda!

Kani Geiko in Baltimore! - September 2025 - What is 'Kani Geiko'? It's a crab feast with a Jodo problem!  Our Jodo people from across the USA gathered in Baltimore for a weekend of delicious crabs and Shinto Muso-ryu training together (at the Baltimore Aikido Dojo). Put this on your calendar for next year!

Septeminar in Portlandia - September 2025 - September is a busy month for the east and west coast of our training groups. The Portland dojo hosted the annual 'Septeminar' , a good time was had by all!
